Morocco is cited among the countries that can welcome Russian citizens, after the lifting of travel restrictions. Russia has advised its nationals to refrain from traveling to certain destinations, for fear of clashes with Ukrainian citizens.
For the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Tourism Development of the State Duma, Natalia Kostenko, Russian citizens are now subject to “serious restrictions” in the choice of destinations and places of travel.
Thus, Russians who wish to travel are advised to visit tourist countries, such as Morocco, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Israel , Sri Lanka, India, Qatar and Serbia.
On the other hand, Kostenko noted that although many European countries such as France and Italy have started to lift the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, traveling now to these places and others on the European continent is “Dangerous,” she warned.
As a reminder, Russia announced the lifting of restrictions on civilian flights to 52 countries, including Morocco, as of Saturday April 9. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Michoustin said flight restrictions have been lifted on flights with the following Arab countries: Morocco, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
