Morocco among the favorite destinations of Middle Eastern travelers

Ranking places Morocco among the 50 hot global destinations in 2023 for MENA travelers.

Morocco holds the 11ᵉ spot in the ranking of the 50 hot global destinations in the first quarter of 2023 for Middle Eastern travelers, compiled by Wego, the largest online travel marketplace and the number one travel app for booking and searching flights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). It is far ahead of Algeria, ranked 42ᵉ.

Egypt retains its top spot as the number one destination for international travel for MENA travelers in Q1 2023. The annual leader since 2014, it is followed by Saudi Arabia, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Kuwait rounds out the top five. Turkey drops one spot to sixth. Then come Pakistan, Jordan, Thailand and Qatar. Oman is in 12th place ahead of the United Kingdom and Indonesia and the United States. Ethiopia and Kenya complete the top 50.
