Since January 17, Marrakech airport has been equipped with a new airport management system to improve fluidity and minimize disruptions and inconvenience to passengers.
Called “SOAM”, Multiplatform Airport Operations System, this process is a multi-platform and multi-device system, designed by experts in airport systems. It is a project included in the digital transformation strategy of the National Office of Airports (ONDA), says a statement from the management.
Specifically, “SOAM” allows to have, “interactively and in real time”, useful information to the various stakeholders in the value chain of the passenger and travelers.
The system will also provide the airport with several integrated software applications designed to generate predictive flight data, which facilitates the most optimal planning and allocation of airport resources (check-in counters, boarding gates, aircraft parking, telescopic bridges…), it is explained.
The objective is to strengthen the operational efficiency of airports and to generate considerable time savings through better knowledge and assessment of situations, said the same source.
