The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) affirmed this Thursday its mobilization with “extreme responsiveness” in order to be able to best represent Morocco at the World Travel Market (WTM).
“The ONMT would like to reassure tourism professionals and its partners that, given the recent decisions on the suspension of direct flights with the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands, the work of prospecting and promoting on main markets will continue, especially in the United Kingdom which is to host from 1 to 3 November in London, one of the most important tourism fairs in the tourism sector: the WTM ”, indicates a press release from the Office.
Three strong measures were thus activated with, first of all, the mobilization of all ONMT delegates established in Europe at the London show, to meet English professionals and build up a sales, communication and promotion force on site.
The Office also provides assistance to professionals registered for the show who will not be able to make the trip in order to help them switch to the use of the virtual platform made available by the event organizers.
In addition, “the ONMT is innovating by launching the urgent recruitment of a local sales force which will be able to represent Moroccan professionals during the meetings initially planned. Through these measures, the ONMT maintains its commercial strike force in this particular period and works to develop the image and the market share of the Morocco destination on the British market ”, the statement said, adding that this team will receive a ad-hoc training and will operate in close relation with Moroccan exhibitors.
Basically, the WTM was to host around twenty national professionals as exhibitors as well as several regional tourism councils and a 200 m2 stand had been programmed for this purpose by the Office.
