Launch of the “kech.cab” one-stop shop at Marrakech-Menara airport

-

Upon arrival and after retrieving their luggage, passengers wishing to be transported by cab are guided by a clear and appropriate signage to the counter, in order to order a cab and prepay the race by card or cash, explains the National Office of Airports (ONDA) in a statement issued Friday, May 12.

The prices of the trips, set by the competent authorities, are known in advance and lumped according to the destination. Payment is made in exchange for a receipt, which the passenger must then scan on one of the dedicated terminals, after which he obtains a ticket mentioning the number of the cab and its rank in the queue.

This counter is installed at the exit of the Arrivals terminal and equipped with the necessary human resources, identifiable by their dress, says the ONDA.

The stage of pre-ordering and prepayment can soon be done online on a dedicated site (order.kech.cab) or on one of the terminals that will be installed, adds the ONDA.

Cabs serving the city of Marrakech from the airport are previously registered and listed on an application made available by the provider. They receive a tag to stick on their vehicle and an identification badge entitling them to provide this service, the same source continues.

The one-stop shop dedicated to the pre-ordering and booking of cabs is expected to be generalized to other airports in Morocco, concludes the statement.
