King Mohammed VI was named the 7th most influential Muslim figure in the world in the 2022 edition of The Muslim 500 ranking, produced by the Jordan Center for Islamic Research and Studies.
The Moroccan ruler occupies seventh place in this ranking dominated by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, followed by the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and the Grand Ayatollah Hajj Sayyid Ali Khamenei . Last year, King Mohammed VI was ranked seventh.
