The city of Fez has succeeded in putting an end to the actions of the car guards following numerous complaints from residents.
No more car guards in Fez. Motorists can now park freely in city parking lots without fear of being verbally attacked by car guards. Taking to heart the many complaints from residents, the city authorities put an end to the activity of the car guards.
The matter was debated in the House of Representatives after citizens organized a boycott of car guards on social media. They criticized them for setting the price of their service at their convenience, depending on the parking area, sometimes demanding payment in advance, and insulting and threatening their customers.
The grumbling persisted to the point that the Home Office had to react. “The operation of the vehicle parking service falls within the framework of the temporary occupation of the public domain governed by a set of laws and regulations,” he clarified.
