The National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) has unveiled the main lines of its action program for the year 2023 aimed at improving road safety conditions and the quality of services provided to users and professionals.
In this context, an upgrade of the examination system for obtaining the driving license is planned. The bank of questions, for the theoretical test, will reach 1000, in addition to the launch of a digital license that includes several information about drivers. The test rooms will also be equipped with individual surveillance cameras to prevent cheating.
In addition, the practical test will soon be conducted with a smart car and a remote learning platform will be launched for drivers. A plan will also be put in place to review the management of driving schools and appropriate legislation will be established.
Driving schools will have to comply with new measures aimed at improving the quality of training provided to motorists. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of accidents on the Kingdom’s roads.
