Casablanca: Lydec remains the delegated company until 2027

-

Lydec announced on Sunday that it had taken note of the launch project in January 2022 of the Regional Multiservice Company (SRM) of Casablanca-Settat, one of the four pilot regions, which would replace the current public operators.

According to the information available, the delegated management company indicated in a press release that the Casablanca-Settat SRM “will intervene in the regional territory to the exclusion of the perimeter of the Inter-municipal Cooperation Establishment (ECI) Al Baida, which corresponds to Lydec’s scope of action under its delegated management contract ”.

As a result, the company “will continue to mobilize all of its expertise and innovation capacities, at the service of all of its stakeholders within the framework of its contract which remains fully in force until its expiry date set in 2027. “. Concurrent with the creation of the Casablanca-Settat SRM, the water and electricity distribution services of Grand Casablanca will be “harmonized within the scope of the ECI.

“Lydec is ready from 2022 to take over all water and electricity distribution services in this area, and thus serve around 400,000 new electricity customers and 100,000 new water customers, ie nearly 30% of ‘additional activity,’ the same source added. For Lydec, “the creation of SRMs opens up real opportunities to make Lydec’s know-how and expertise available to them in the Casablanca-Settat region” and in other regions of the country.
