MREs ask Interpol to arrest ex-Algerian officer

-

While a guest on an Algerian television program, Mokhtar Saïd Mediouni made threats against Morocco, calling on the Polisario to carry out terrorist attacks in several cities of the kingdom.

Moroccan citizens living abroad have filed a complaint with Interpol against Mokhtar Saïd Mediouni. This former senior Algerian military intelligence officer called on the Polisario to carry out attacks on Moroccan territory, reports several media sources. The complaint is accompanied by photos, videos and personal information about the man.

“We must not let it go any longer. We said no to France in 2021, we closed our airspace in Morocco and closed our borders. We are the only country in the world to be at war with Israel. It is an honor for us and for all Algerians “, declared the person concerned on the set of a program, broadcast on November 3 by the Algerian television channel El Hayat.

“Sahrawis, if you want independence, die and sacrifice yourself as martyrs for your country,” he continued. The ex-officer also called on the Polisario militias to carry out attacks “not in the Sahara, but in Casablanca or Marrakech” to “sow terror in Moroccan society”.

“Forget the UN. Hope I was clear enough, Moroccans are going to do TV shows about me. This is completely normal, I am their nightmare and I am completely ready to take up arms again to defend my country, “he said.

According to several sources, the former officer has also been accused of being involved in the massacre of civilians during the country’s black decade. In August 2020, a complaint against Mediouni for sexual assault and attempted rape was also reported.
