Morocco wants to strengthen its army’s artillery with the acquisition of the Israeli PULS rocket launcher, after the purchase of Chinese Sky dragon 50, HQ-9B and WS-2D systems and Israeli Barak MX to secure its airspace.
After the purchase of 36 French CAESAR ground-to-ground artillery trucks with a range of 42 kilometers and 36 Chinese PHL-03/AR-2 300 mm rocket launchers, capable of firing 12 rockets with a range of up to 160 km, Morocco wants to acquire the Israeli PULS rocket launcher.
The Moroccan artillery inspector recently traveled to Israel to study this rocket launcher manufactured by the Israeli company Elbit Systems. The PULS system is capable of firing several ranges of rockets and guided missiles and can neutralize specific targets with precision from any distance up to 300 km.
Designed with a fully automatic firing system, PULS is a state-of-the-art system featuring the latest command, control, communication and intelligence (C4I) system, a fire control system and an inertial navigation system. The highly versatile rocket launcher is effective in modern battlefield scenarios.
PULS is capable of firing 36 Accular 122 mm missiles with a range of 35 km, 20 Accular 160 mm missiles with a range of 40 km, 8 EXTRA missiles with a range of 150 km or 4 Predator Hawk tactical ballistic missiles with a range of 300 km.
