The number of companies created in Morocco reached 93,272 during the year 2022, according to the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
These companies are divided into legal entities with 63,219 units and natural persons (30,053), according to the OMPIC’s general management chart. This scoreboard shows a dominance of the Trade sector with a share of 36.32%, followed by construction and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (17.65%), miscellaneous services (17.64%), transport (8.7%), industries (7.27%), hotels and restaurants (6.46%), the sector of information technology and communication (2.61%), agriculture and fisheries (2.26%) and financial activities (1.09%)
By legal form, the companies created are 61.8% of limited liability companies with single shareholder (SARL-AU), 37.8% of SARL, 0.3% of joint stock companies (SA) and 0.1% of general partnerships (SNC).
