Honeywell sets up in Casablanca and invests 100 million DH

-

Eleven years after opening two SMEs specializing in the manufacture of safety shoes and protective gloves in textile and leather, the American Honeywell is strengthening its presence in Morocco, through the installation of a factory specializing in aeronautics referred to as Honeywell Morocco.

With the installation of this new factory called Honeywell Morocco, Morocco has an opportunity to realize its ambition to become a manufacturer of aircraft and helicopter engines. Honeywell Morocco joins the French Piston group, which commissioned a plant in Morocco in the first quarter for the production of high-tech mechanical parts for aircraft engines, Challenge reports.

For this new subsidiary located in Casablanca to be fully operational, Honeywell Morocco will have to invest no less than 100 million DH. This subsidiary specializes in the manufacture of integrated avionics systems and electromechanical systems for airplanes and helicopters.

Honeywell is a multi-business group founded in 1906 in Minneapolis. Today, it operates mainly in nuclear, aerospace, building automation (regulation, technical supervision, access control and security), defense (military avionics, etc.) and automotive equipment. In addition to Morocco, Honeywell is present in Tunisia and in around fifteen countries.
