The Chinese company Norinco, which specializes in the arms industry, has settled down in Morocco by opening a subsidiary in Rabat.
This choice of the kingdom is a clear desire of officials to expand their activities in Africa, reports La Razon, who points out that this public group generated an estimated turnover of 40 billion euros.
Besides the Moroccan capital, Norinco plans to open another base in Marrakech in the next few days, it is said.
The project called EMOB will be financed by the insurer Allianz Maroc, a partner of the Norinco group. For the moment, there is no concrete news on the projects of the Chinese group which employs more than 200,000 people in the world.
