Moroccans are still at the top of the table of non-EU foreign workers contributing to social security in Spain with 289,548 people, followed by Chinese (106,792).
The total number of foreigners affiliated to Spanish social security reached 2,258,670 people in the second month of the year, up by 18,514 people compared to January 2022.
Of all the foreign workers contributing to Spanish social security, some 1,464,831 people come from non-EU countries and 793,839 come from European Union countries.
Some 767,180 Moroccans were legally established in Spain until July 1, 2021, down 1% (-8,113 people) compared to January 1 of the same year, according to figures from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE). .
Moroccans thus remain the first foreign community legally settled in Spain.
