As of November 1, Ben Nassir Bouayad, a Moroccan from Amsterdam, is officially the new chief of the Flevoland police district.
Of Moroccan origin, Ben Nassir Bouayad, 50, grew up in Amsterdam. He has resided in the province of Flevoland for over 20 years and has a long career in the city police. From an officer of the Amsterdam-Amstelland police unit in 1993 after his integration, he then rose through the ranks as a base team leader, neighborhood agent, detective and team leader South East and Amsterdam West, and recently, Sector Head of the Infrastructure Department of the Amsterdam Unit.
Ben Nassir Bouayad holds a Masters in Administration from the Dutch School of Public Administration. His research focused on the approach to subversion in Antwerp. “The arrival of Ben Nassir will help strengthen the expertise and skills of our unit. Like the rest of the unit’s leadership, I am happy to welcome him among us, ”said Martin Sitalsing, police chief of the Midden-Nederland region.
