A Moroccan woman has been elected Miss Arab USA 2022. Since the creation of the competition, this is the first time that a candidate of Moroccan nationality has won the title.
A consecration for Marwa Lahlou who won on July 25, the title of “Miss Arab USA 2022” initiated by director and producer Jamal Achraf. Originally from the city of Oujda in Morocco, the newly elected miss has resided in the United States since 2004.
A graduate of the University of New Haven, Marwa Lahloua imposed herself in front of 19 other candidates and thus succeeds Iya Agha, Miss Arab 2019. The Miss Arab USA event is not a beauty contest like the others where the physical is a crucial criterion. The jury takes into account the personality of the participants, their general culture and their academic and professional background more than the physical aspect.
