Revealed in the French reality show “The Circle Game”, the French-Moroccan influencer Ines Tazi has just joined the American cast of the show “Perfect Match” which will be broadcast from February 14 on Netflix. Her mission, to give another face to reality TV.
Graduated in geopolitics, Ines Tazi did not have the ambition to make reality TV. But her parallel activities to her field of expertise have made her part of this world that, according to her, needs changes. “I have often been embarrassed by the image of reality TV: the woman as object, the exacerbated masculinity, the staging … “, she explains to the newspaper Midi Libre.
The young woman was spotted by Netflix France thanks to her presence on social networks and her “company inspired by the ritual of the Moroccan hammam. For the one who participated in the filming of her first reality show “The Circle” in 2019, the time has come for reality TV to move away from the usual cliché. “It’s important to diversify the moral codes in a radically inclusive and progressive way. I’m not saying it’s mission accomplished, far from it. But it’s a start in an industry that has been impervious to change for too long, and is culturally too homogeneous.”
Although she knows that the task will not be easy, Ines Tazi thinks it’s a risk worth taking. I am full of contrasts and paradoxes, both through the glamorous image that I can convey on social networks but also through my hobbies, my professional or personal career. Today there are plenty of other ways to express yourself via podcasts or social networks, so I will continue in this direction,” she continues.
Despite her role in “Perfect Match”, the young influencer believes that the world of reality TV is “toxic”, but it attracts many consumers and has managed to make the fame of many personalities. Now proud of the experiences she has gained, the Moroccan is about to turn to other projects, but this time in fashion. “It’s an industry in full turmoil, because it is agitated by major identity, cultural and environmental issues. I want to be an actor of this change by joining forces with talents – whatever their background – who feel concerned and share this craze, while promoting French fashion.
