A new record for Pokimane, the Moroccan-Canadian streamer

-

Moroccan-Canadian Imane Anys, 25, aka Pokimane, broke a new record. She became the first female Twitch star to reach 9 million streaming followers.

A new record for the one who started broadcasting on Twitch in 2013. Since March 3, Pokimane has become the first Twitch streamer to reach nine million subscribers on Twitch. The young woman was live on her Twitch channel when she received a donation informing her that she had just reached nine million followers on the platform, reports Dot Esports. After checking, she thanked all her followers in a variety of languages.

A new feat that is added to the list of his achievements. In 2018, she was named Twitch Streamer of the Year through the Shorty Awards. The young Moroccan figured Forbes 30 under 30 in 2021 in the “games” category, and received the Legacy Award from the Streamer Awards this year. Pokimane is currently the ninth most followed streamer on the platform and the only female streamer in the top 20 most followed streamers on Twitch.

With this new achievement, the Moroccan-Canadian star confirms that she is one of the biggest streamers on all platforms. Pokimane proves once again that women are capable of achieving feats on social networks.
