Sana El Gosairi, a Moroccan woman residing in Italy, has embarked on the race for municipal elections in Milan. The one who cut her teeth in politics within the National Rally of Independents (RNI) and has lived in this European country for 20 years intends to serve not only the Moroccan and Arab communities but also the national interests and those of the Moroccan diaspora.
Sana El Gosairi is a candidate in the municipal elections scheduled for Sunday October 3 and Monday October 4, 2021, reports Hibapress. Originally from the city of Bejaad, Sana moved to Italy 20 years ago. She has a better understanding of the difficulties faced by the Moroccan and Arab communities. One can quote among others, the impossibility for Moroccans to transfer their retirement pensions in their country. Tunisians do not face this difficulty.
Does the candidate want to encourage her compatriots to run for elected office in the country’s institutions? According to her, they will thus be able in the future to constitute a force allowing them to negotiate with the Italian officials to serve their interests or to exert pressure to defend national causes.
With a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, the Moroccan joined the Italian Democratic Party (PD) which, according to her, is closest to her ideas and her political vision, because this formation defends foreign communities like all leftist parties around the world.
With her association “Jasmine” which provides assistance to people affected by the coronavirus as well as their families, the Moroccan-Italian has risen in the esteem of Milanese.
