The Moroccan diaspora (Marocains Résidant à l’Étranger) brings together the population of Moroccan origin living outside the country. It is the direct and joint consequence of the high rate of emigration experienced by Morocco since its independence in 1956. It is a term designating people of Moroccan origin who have kept a direct or indirect link with Morocco, participating or not. to the life of the Moroccan community outside its borders, and belonging to the first, second, third, umpteenth generation of emigrants in such and such a country.
